American Legion Unit 10 Auxiliary

President's Message

We have a great group to work with! Our sewing group, the "Sew Fine Gals" meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 9am and work with young ladies from the Oak Creek facility in Albany. They make quilts for our veterans as well as many other items as requested by the care facilities. We hold a Spring and Fall rummage sale to raise funds for this project and others. We collect receipts as part of the Points for Profit program to raise money to send local juniors to Girls State each year. Donations to this program are always welcome as it costs $300 per student to attend this week long program. Many of these graduates from Girls State have gone on to become well respected members of our local and state businesses and have gone on to represent our State at National Girls State. We have many other projects that we would welcome our members to participate in and encourage all of you that are eligible for membership to consider attending one of our meetings to see who we are and what we are all about.

Thank you for supporting our Veterans, their families and our community!

Penny L. McCarthy

Meetings are on the 2nd Monday of each month, starting at 6:00 pm.
